Senior Embedded Software Engineer (m/w/d)

To strengthen our dedicated development team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) as soon as possible.
This is what your day with us looks like
Of course, we cannot plan every day perfectly in advance and variety is what makes everyday life exciting - but the following points are your main tasks:
- Development of intelligent & networked products in the industrial environment
- Modern software development for embedded systems based on microcontrollers
(Bare Metal/RTOS) with the help of C++17
- Design and implementation of complex, modular software architectures
- Implementation of industrial fieldbus systems (e.g. IO-Link, MODBUS TCP)
- Implementation of hardware related driver layers and communication protocols
(e.g. UART, USB, I2C, SPI)
- Optimization of software performance and quality assurance of the created software modules by unit tests & (code) analyses
- Technical documentation of the development processes and results
What do we expect from you?
Time is precious - in order not to waste it unnecessarily and to offer you as much clarity as possible, we have divided our expectations into can have and must have:
We expect:
- Completion of a Master/Diploma program in the field of electrical engineering/computer science
- Very good programming skills in the programming languages C/C++ & Python
- Several years of professional experience in the development of hardware-related software for embedded systems based on microcontrollers (Bare Metal/RTOS)
- Experience in validation of software systems by component and integration tests
- Ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility for the projects to be worked on
- Good to very good knowledge of English
This would make you stand out:
- Experience in static code analysis of software modules
- Advanced knowledge of Git as a software version control system
- Experienced in using ticket management systems (e.g. Jira) would be an advantage
- Advanced knowledge in the use of compilers and build systems
- Knowledge in the use of Continuous Integration
